Increasing number of people in transit has been recently recorded in the area around the Bosnian border with Croatia, particularly in the north of the country.
A group of adult men were seen in the northern city of Gradiska the other night, who were heading towards the Sava river – which makes the natural border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. Some of them go straight to the official border crossing now that Croatia started issuing a document regulating their movements, according to which people in transit must leave the territory of Croatia within seven days.

The migrants and refugees say this is making their journey to the western Europe countries easier.
Slovenia removed wire fence on border with Croatia mid-July, which also facilitated the movement of the people in transit.
Gradiska police earlier told media that they recorded increasing number of migrants in the area but that the treatment remains the same. According to regulations in Republika Srpska, one of two Bosnia's semi-autonomous regions which covers this area, persons with no valid documents are not allowed to stay on the region's territory and are transferred to migrant centres if their presence is reported.
