Dodik in Belgrade: BiH is failed state

Vucic told media following the meeting that they agreed to help several municipalities in the RS with an amount of EUR five million, noting that the financial assistance will not go only to those municipalities where SNSD is in power.  

“It was our idea, we earmarked a special million of marks for the youth employment program, and incentive program for launching of businesses," Vucic stressed.  

“President Dodik asked Serbia to help Gacko-Foca road construction with amount of EUR 10 million. We could not make a decision but we will discuss it in two months," said Serbia's President.  

RS President Dodik also addressed the media, thanking for Serbia's financial assistance and saying that this is a new sort of Serbia's help.  

“They often ask me what is this relation between Serbia and the RS and what do these special relations mean. This help is expression of those relations. This is a new segment of Serbia's assistance, which did not exist before. Up until now there was only political support. Through this support Serbia will be present in the RS," Dodik emphasized.  

He reiterated that the RS will entirely follow the policy of Belgrade and Serbia on the issue of Kosovo.  

As for situation in BiH, the RS President said that political and institutional activity in BiH was completely dead, and that it existed only in terms of visits of foreign officials. He also noted that BiH was a failed state. 

“Relations between Croats and Bosniaks are strained, which reflects on the work of institutions. The Parliament of the FBiH has not been in session for two months. The RS is the only that is functioning," Dodik added.  

Commenting the situation in Kosovo, the RS President said that the EU's call for calming down of tensions and no use of force was cynical, because the force was already used.  

“It is clear that the international community in Kosovo protects earlier decisions, just like it did in Bosnia, regardless of the fact that BiH is a failed country. We are grateful to the international community on the help it provided and we would lke to cooperate, but we don't want them to lead us or to give us orders. It is a way too exaggerated in Bosnia. BiH will not recognize independence of Kosovo, although the western countries' ambassadors exert pressure on us," Dodik concluded.
