In the explanation of this initiative, Cvijanovic emphasized that during his second term, President Donald Trump, through his diplomatic engagement and personal authority, achieved results that left a significant mark on international relations and substantially contributed to the stabilization of numerous world crises.
“Appreciating his efforts and achievements in the field of peace, I consider it justified and deserved that the Presidency of BiH make a decision to propose His Excellency President Donald J. Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize,” stated the initiative of the state presidency member.
She pointed out that Trump, in a short period since assuming office as the 47th President of the United States, through proactive action contributed to the halting of several armed conflicts and the resolution of serious security crises.

“The peace agreement reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan, concluded in August at the White House, marked the end of a long-standing conflict in the South Caucasus and opened the prospect of a new era of regional cooperation and security.
Also evident is his engagement in Asia, where, precisely through the diplomatic efforts of the U.S. administration led by President Trump, the conflict between India and Pakistan, as well as between Thailand and Cambodia, was resolved. The truce in Yemen, concluded in May of this year, enabled the halting of escalation in the Red Sea region and created conditions for humanitarian activities.
Through President Trump’s efforts, in June of this year, the signing of a peace agreement in Washington brought an end to the conflict between Rwanda and the DRC, which testifies to the global character of the American president’s activities in the interest of peace,” Cvijanovic emphasized.
She also underlined Trump’s “indispensable role” in efforts to achieve peace in Europe, as well as peace initiatives and innovative approaches in the Middle East, aimed at preventing broader escalation in the region through contacts with Israel, Iran, and Palestine, which contributed to strengthening prospects for stability in one of the most security-challenged regions of the world.
